Call for Posters and Lightning Talks
International Conference on Blockchain Research and Applications
We invite submissions for the Poster and Lightning Talk tracks of BCRA 2026 – International Conference on Blockchain Research and Applications. These tracks provide an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to present emerging ideas, work in progress, novel applications, experimental systems, and early-stage results in blockchain research and applications.
The Poster and Lightning Talk tracks are intended to foster discussion, encourage feedback, and provide visibility to promising new directions from both academia and industry.
Topics of Interest
BCRA 2026 seeks original submissions regarding blockchain research and applications that detail novel techniques, introduce advanced methodologies, investigate new applications, and propose promising directions. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Blockchain theory & protocols (consensus, interoperability, etc.)
- Blockchain architecture, systems, and tools
- Smart contracts
- Security and privacy of blockchains
- Blockchain governance
- Blockchain applications (DID, DeFi, DePIN, etc.)
- Web3 and digital assets
- Blockchain and AI
- Layer-2 solutions for blockchain
- Transaction analysis
- Oracles and off-chain data
- Cryptographic tools for blockchain
Track Types
Poster Track
Welcomes submissions presenting work in progress, novel ideas, system demonstrations, application case studies, negative results, or preliminary findings that can benefit from interactive discussion with conference participants.
Lightning Talk Track
Welcomes concise, high-impact presentations of emerging research, new systems, provocative ideas, practical lessons, or timely application experiences that can be communicated effectively in a short oral format (around 3-5 mins).
Presentation of Accepted Submissions
It is mandatory for at least one author of each accepted poster or lightning talk submission to register and present at the conference in order for the work to be included in the proceedings. Detailed presentation instructions will be sent to accepted authors.
Important Dates
Publication
All poster/lightning talk extended abstracts that are accepted and presented at the conference will be published in the companion proceedings of BCRA 2026 by Springer Proceedings and indexed by EI Compendex.
Submission Guidelines
All submissions must be in English and in PDF format.
Authors must submit a max 4-page extended abstract (including references). Submissions that do not comply with the page limit or formatting requirements may be rejected without review.
Please use the Springer proceedings template for submission.
Submissions should clearly indicate whether they are intended for the Poster Track or the Lightning Talk Track.
